
Dr. Kale Kirkland, a Montgomery native, received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2011 and is licensed to practice psychology in Alabama. Dr. Kale Kirkland provides clinical and forensic psychological services.

Dr. Kale Kirkland provides various forensic psychological evaluations and/or treatment for components of various Court systems. He has been a Certified Forensic Examiner through the Alabama Department of Mental Health since 2012. He has testified for both defense and prosecuting attorneys, as well as being frequently Court-appointed by judges in civil and criminal cases. Dr. Kirkland's ability to provide forensic evaluations can be customized depending on the specifics of the case, but common issues addressed for adults and/or juveniles are as follows:

Often times, the Court may have a specific question, or an issue involving mental health may surface in a unique context that is not typical of "standard" forensic evaluations. Dr. Kirkland is willing to discuss with you the role he may play in answering such questions for your court case.
Dr. Kale Kirkland will not work as a "hired gun" for forensic evaluations, but will provide objective, comprehensive evaluations with extensive record review/analysis, informing respective courts with relevant/pertinent information about an individual's mental condition as it relates to the matter at hand.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides evaluations and therapy services to individuals going through divorce and/or custody proceedings. These evaluations are available whether they were court-ordered or self-referred, and Dr. Kirkland will be available to testify in court.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides on-site pre-trial and in-court expert consultation and/or testimony for general and special court martials for the United States Air Force.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides co-parenting training and/or Parent Coordination services to individuals involved in a high-conflict divorce or post-divorce custody litigation. Dr. Kirkland understands the importance of these services, with an aim at providing objective opinions to the Court and improving communication between co-parents in order to alleviate the child(ren)'s anxieties and and prevent further trauma.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides psychosexual evaluations for individuals facing allegations of sexual abuse and/or Internet-related sex crimes.
Dr. Kale Kirkland has extensive experience working with workman's compensation insurance companies, and provides both evaluations and long-term therapy services for individuals involved in these circumstances.
Dr. Kale Kirkland specializes in evaluation of PTSD, with extensive experience in assessments of Veterans pursuing disability benefits and those involved in traumatic accidents.
- Dr. Kale Kirkland has worked with both VA-contracted third-party companies and individual attorneys in providing such evaluations, and has a comprehensive understanding of the related complications and issues involved with this process.
- Dr. Kale Kirkland conducts evaluations of individuals involved in traumatic accidents, including motor vehicle accidents and work-related accidents.
Dr. Kale Kirkland is available to testify as an expert witness with respect to various forensic evaluations, as needed.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides Fitness for Duty evaluations, determinations of readiness to return work, and Pre-Employment Psychological Screenings. He provides such services to various corporations, staffing agencies, and divisions of law enforcement, and believes strongly in the value of such services to the individual, the referral source, and the respective communities.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides psychological testing to law enforcement and police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders. These evaluations are typically to determine fitness for duty for employment, APOSTC certification, or readiness to return to work after some type of incident and/or trauma.
Dr. Kirkland provides individual therapy services to law enforcement and police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other first responders. Dr. Kale Kirkland emphasizes the importance of offering individual therapy services to law enforcement officers and emergency first-responders.
Dr. Kale Kirkland provides both assessment and therapy, providing comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate for current diagnoses and related treatment recommendations. Such evaluations are aimed to assisting with educational and/or vocational planning, medication management, and self-understanding.
Dr. Kale Kirkland assesses for depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Psychotic Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders, which assists in behavioral modification, medication management, and/or facilitating academic accommodations at school or on standardized testing (e.g. ACT).
Dr. Kale Kirkland's therapy services begin by formulating individualized treatment plans for each therapy patient and using various theoretical orientations. Dr. Kale Kirkland was trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.
